Due to continued business expansion at ATS we have fantastic opportunities for qualified Arborist Climbers to join our existing and ever-growing team based out of either Dorking or Ripley (Surrey).

We are looking for competent individuals who can deliver quality Arboricultural services safely and professionally to our clients, ensuring our company standards and values are always delivered.

As Arborist Climber you will have:

  • Proven experience in delivering high quality pruning in line with industry best practice e.g., target pruning.
  • Knowledge of Visual Tree Assessment (VTA) methodology.
  • Understanding of formative pruning, thinning and crown reduction.
  • Perform aerial tree safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

Person specification:

  • You will be self-motivated with the ability to work within a team as well as independently.
  • Have good organisational skills with the ability to use your own initiative.
  • Able to problem solve and implement resolutions swiftly.

As an Arborist Climber it is essential you have the following qualifications:

NPTC Units CS30, CS31 CS38, CS39 and ideally CS41.

A full clean driving licence is desirable however not essential.

Job Type is Full-time, Permanent. Working Monday to Friday 07.00-16.00

Salary: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year depending on experience

Grounds Person

Due to continued expansion within the company, we have opportunities for Grounds People to join our teams based at either Ripley or Dorking (Surrey).

As a Grounds Person you will in a professional, safe, and efficient manner be supporting our Arborists on site in and around Surrey and London.

You will be required to use and maintain equipment such as chippers and grinders.

You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with both clients and the public.

Must have previous experience and hold a current full UK driving licence.

Job Type is Full-time, Permanent. Working Monday to Friday 07.00-16.00

 

Salary: £23,000.00-£36,000.00 per year depending on experience

Seasonal OPM Spraying Operatives & OPM Support Staff

 

Seasonal Shift Work from Mid April for up to 3 months.

 

To help with our seasonal Oak Processionary Moth (OPM) spraying contract with the Forestry Commission, ATS are looking for enthusiastic spraying operatives for an initial three-month period. 

The successful candidates will be using state of the art, vehicle mounted spraying machines for the control of OPM over numerous sites in Surrey and South West London. Or drive and provide support to the sprayers. Full Uniform and PPE will be supplied.

If the candidates prove themselves over this period, there is the possibility of this leading to full time employment with ATS.

Essential Criteria

  • Must be able to get to operational yard using own transport as public transport not available.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Full clean driving licence 
  • Previous experience within the horticultural industry
  • PA1 and PA6 qualifications

Job Type is Full-time. Working Monday to Friday 07.00-16.00 or on a shift pattern of 05.00-13.00 & 13.00-21.00.
